Tafra. 2025
Handcrafted at Jonathan Amar Studio – Morocco
Named after the Tamazight word for “interweaving,” Tafra embodies the harmony of materiality and gesture. This sculptural tripod table blends Mediterranean warmth with Moroccan craftsmanship, shaped through a dialogue between natural textures and detailing.
The tabletop is carved from solid teak wood, subtly hollowed to form a soft tray profile. The central stem is wrapped in sustainably sourced natural rattan core, coiled by hand to create a surface movement.
The tripod steel frame is sheathed in hand-stitched leather, using traditional saddle-stitch techniques commonly found in fine leather goods. This level of leather craftsmanship is a hallmark of our studio. The legs are finished with solid brass sabots, adding weight and contrast.
Dimensions: Ø 51 cm H 50–60 cm (customizable)
Brass is a living material, and natural variations in tone and patina are to be expected, adding to the uniqueness of each piece.
Limited production. Custom finishes and private commissions available upon request.
